The coffee is grown in the Segre plantation, located in the Wahgi Valley, in the Western Highlands of Papua New Guinea. All the types of coffee in the country are Arabica, and mostly the Typica variety.
The farm is at an altitude of 1600 meters above sea level, with the main crop harvested from May to July. All the coffee in the Segre plantation goes through a Natural Process where it's dried in the sun to further enhance its taste and unique characteristics.
The coffee has dominant and rich flavors with hints of cherry and red wine.
